Gateway Equipment

The radio in use for the gateway is a Bosch KF163 digX radio. The Bosch radio is an ex PMR set with one frequency, and has been modified to transmit on 145.2375 MHz and a CYCSS board has been fitted and set to 67.0 Hz by Richard G0EWH of Stourbridge, West Midlands. Richard is a dab hand at converting ex PMR radios and recently acquired his own frequency to run his own Internet Gateway. May I take this opportunity to thank Richard G0EWH for his work with the MB7IBC link and other links and repeaters in the area. The Bosch KF163 digX radio is hooked up to the pc via a Rigblaster Plus. It is running less power that my NoV allows me to run which is 5 watts (10 watts max). It is connected to a dedicated AMD Athlon(TM) XP 2400+ MHz with 768 MB of RAM running WindowsXP Pro.
